Code of Ethics
At a meeting of the Joint IADR and AADR Boards of Directors (January, 2000), it was determined that the Summary Code of Ethics prepared by the Ethics Committee should be publicized more fully. It appeared in the January/February, 2000, issue of IADReports (page 9) and is reproduced below.
I. Preamble
The purpose of this Summary Code of Ethics is to define general principles for the responsibilities of members of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) in their research and scholarly activities.
II. Rationale
IADR, as a professional research association, expects that the special expertise of the membership carries with it the obligation to serve with the utmost sincerity and integrity. The Code of Ethics is based on an honor system, and adherence to the Code of Ethics is the responsibility of each member.
The following General Principles should guide members in their research and scholarly activities.
All members of the IADR should:
